Since 1932, every kilometre travelled has been a story of commitment, innovation and a passion for connecting the families of Mexico.

The tradition of transport in Mexico has its roots in the arrival of Fray Sebastián de Aparicio, who laid the foundations of mobility in the viceroyalty.

With unwavering determination, the first routes were mapped out, strategically connecting the Bajío with the west of the country.

In an era before the rise of the railway, road transport emerged as the vital engine for trade and for uniting distant communities.

In 1932 we formally consolidated our founding, beginning a journey of excellence that today spans more than nine
decades of history.

The consolidation of trunk routes and the arrival of diesel technology.

During the 60s we expanded our vision towards absolute comfort, introducing the first vehicles with air suspension.

Historical Timeline

Grupo Flecha Amarilla milestones — 1985 to 1992

1985

— Founding of TTUR and extension of terms

On 19 November 1985, Transportes Turísticos del Bajío (TTUR) was founded. On 26 August of that same year, the terms of the board of directors were extended to three years.

1986

— Creation of Servicios Coordinados

'Servicios Coordinados' was created and the companies Transportes Cuerámaro and Autotransportes Puruándiro–Irapuato were incorporated.

1987

— New members

The Unión de Permisionarios de Autobuses Azules y Triángulo joined.

1988

— Corporate General Director

On 28 Apr 1988 the creation of the post of Corporate General Director was approved.

1991

A Standard is Born
Premium

On 19 March 1991, Primera Plus began operating in Executive mode. The following day, 20 March, 'Enlaces Terrestres Nacionales S.A. de C.V.' (ETN) began operating in luxury mode.

Onboard Service

We pioneered complimentary snacks and drinks.

Bed Seats

Introduction of greater space and anatomical comfort.

— Destinos Parhikuni

On 7 January, Destinos Parhikuni began operating in the Michoacán area.

— Costa Alegre and Azteca de Oro

On 12 June, Autobuses Unidos de Jalisco, Costa Alegre entered service. That same month, Transportes Turísticos Azteca de Oro and Líneas Aztecas de Oro were integrated.

— Autobuses Regionales de Querétaro

Autobuses Regionales de Querétaro began operating on 30 November 1992.

— Ómnibus Libertadores del Bajío

Ómnibus Libertadores del Bajío began operating on 15 December 1992

— Opening of the Flecha Amarilla Complex

On 4 September 1992 the great celebration event was held for the 60th anniversary of the Flecha Amarilla Symbol and the 50th anniversary of the founding of Autobuses Flecha Amarilla.

Commitment to tomorrow

Changes have been accelerated, which has led us to take up a swift pace in order to match a world-class company, and we have therefore had to implement administrative and operational systems in line with our current needs, including technological innovation and infrastructure, while also making the investments necessary to move forward. That is why, 80 years after its founding, Flecha Amarilla continues to be one of the national leaders in the road transport sector, giving priority to excellence in service.
